Medical Device GMP Certification
Good Manufacturing Practice ensures the manufacture of outstanding, quality-guaranteed products. Requirements cover manufacturing facilities, equipment, materials, product design, manufacturing processes, packaging and installation. Our factory first obtained this certification in 2005 and has maintained it through regular audits.
ISO 9001 Quality Management System
ISO 9001 is an international standard specifying requirements for a quality management system. It demonstrates an organization's ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements. Our manufacturer was first certified in 2008.
ISO 14001 Environment Management System

Customs Approved Registered Exporter
The Customs Act for the Implementation of Free Trade Agreements provides select approved exporters with preferential and streamlined customs treatment. Our factory obtained this certification in 2013.
NSF Certification
NSF is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization and a world leader in standards development, product certification and risk-management education. Examples of AlkaViva products with NSF certification include Whole House Filtration Systems, R.O. Inline Re-Mineralizer Filter, Scale Guard Inline Filter, External Filter Housing and Omni Pure 1m Block.
KDFA Certification
In accordance with Article 6 of the Medical Device Act, manufacturers must be audited for manufacturing approval, facility compliance and quality control systems. Our manufacturer acquired its 889th manufacturing business license in 2000 and subsequently obtained 28 additional alkaline water ionizer licenses.
US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Registration
The FDA Center for Devices and Radiological Health oversees and regulates medical devices in the United States. Our manufacturer was approved in 2005 and registered its water ionizer products.
CE European Conformity Certification
CE marking indicates that products comply with applicable European Union requirements relating to safety, health and environmental protection. Our factory first obtained this certification in 1998, and its ionizers exported to Europe carry CE marking.
North America Electrical and Electronic Product Safety (OSHA)
The NRTL (Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory) program is part of OSHA regulations and verifies compliance with applicable electrical product safety standards in North America. Our factory obtained NRT certificates in 1998 and has maintained them through regular audits.
International Electrotechnical Commission Certification
The IEC CB Scheme supports international recognition of electrical product safety testing and certification. The factory obtained the PSE DIAMOND certificate in 2006, as described on the original page.
Japan PSE Certification
PSE certification is a mandatory conformity assessment under Japanese Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Law. Manufacturers exporting applicable products to Japan must verify that products meet the relevant safety standards. Our factory obtained the PSE DIAMOND certificate in 2006.
TÜV Certification
TÜV SÜD is a globally recognized testing and certification organization providing product testing and management system certification. It helps businesses meet applicable national and international standards. Our factory obtained this certification in 2010.
